UVA Breast Care Center Breast Screening Days- update Nov. 11th date has been canceled.
Date: October 7th & November 11th, Location: UVA Breast Care Center
Screenings start at 8 a.m. for both insured and uninsured individuals. To schedule your screening, please call 434-243-4704.

-Name & date of birth
-Last mammogram information
-Insurance and provider information
The next quarterly SWVA CAB Meeting is Thursday, February 22, from noon-1:30 pm via Zoom.
This meeting will be virtual and include subcommittee breakout sessions.

This in-person meeting will provide a virtual option. A lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.

The Far SW Veteran’s Coalition is presenting this event in an effort to provide information about a variety of resources to Veterans and their families in Far SW Virginia/East Tennessee/Eastern Kentucky.

Appalachian Substance Abuse Coalition Resource Fair. Come for free information and resources from local and regional community partners for you and your family. COE will be present to provide cancer-related education and navigation resources.
Thursday, August 15th, the National Park Service (NPS), Forefront Dermatology of Fishersville, and UVA OCOE will host a free skin cancer screening event for Shenandoah National Park employees. Forefront Dermatology of Fishersville will provide free skin cancer screenings, while UVA COE will be onsite for cancer screening navigation services and information. Shenandoah NPS Headquarters, from 9-noon and then 1-3 pm.
Participating Health & Wellness organizations will give FUN FAIR attendees who stop at their table/tent to learn about their services a raffle ticket. Attendees can use the raffle tickets to enter into drawings for prizes. Prize drawings will take place at 4:45 pm (you do not need to be present to win – we can call you).
