Bryan is an Outreach and Engagement specialist within the UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Community Outreach and Engagement team. Before joining UVA, he worked for 20 years as the Health and Wellness Program Director for the City of Danville, Virginia Parks and Recreation Department. Bryan led several health and wellness initiatives in Southside Virginia, including the formation of The Health Collaborative that serves the City of Danville, Pittsylvania County, Virginia and Caswell County, North Carolina. Bryan studied Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics at Virginia Tech and is a PHASE I AND II Graduate of the Racial Equity Institute. During his spare time, Bryan facilitates Diversity, Equity and Inclusion workshops and instructs Urban Line Dance classes.
Specializations: Dan-River Region Cancer Taskforce, Rural Populations, LGBTQ+ Community, and other underrepresented and underserved communities.
