The Translational Heath Research Institute of Virginia (THRIV) has welcomed its second class for the THRIV Scholars Program. The program’s curriculum offers an interdisciplinary approach to furthering the education and professional development of research faculty. Dr. Thomas R. Hartka, of the Emergency Medicine Research Office (EMRO), is one of five class members for this new program. He has previously achieved other professional milestones, including the Certificate of Commitment to Faculty Development in Medical Education and the Junior Faculty Development Program.
