UVA Health

The UVA Health System is a large tertiary care center with over 650 inpatient beds and over 26,000 admissions per year. UVA serves a socioeconomically and racially diverse patient population throughout central Virginia and the mid-Atlantic region. Fellows will evaluate and treat a broad spectrum of adult patients from chronic outpatients to critically ill patients with new-onset and existing psychiatric comorbidities in medical and surgical settings.

The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences includes a 24-bed adult inpatient psychiatry unit in addition to outpatient, addiction, and office-based opioid treatment clinics. Additional units include Medical Toxicology, Pain Clinic, and the UVA Ryan White HIV clinic. Consultation-Liaison Fellows will provide services to all medical and surgical units within the University of Virginia Health System.
