Hi there, I’m Erica “Frankie” Mulder.  I’m a retired hair stylist originally from Scottsdale, Arizona.  I studied osteopathic medicine at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson, Nevada.  I completed AP/CP residency training at West Penn Allegheny Health System/Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In my free time I enjoy playing video games with my husband, crocheting, and spending time with my two cats Cheeto and Cheddar.  I am also currently in the process of learning Dutch to better speak with my husband’s family in the Netherlands.

As I continue my forward momentum, I am committed to being a lifelong learner.  In addition, I also have a passion for teaching and hope to be involved in educating future residents and fellows or contributing to a residency program as a PD or APD.  UVA has been the perfect place for me to do a fellowship as not only am I gaining confidence in my diagnostic and interpretive skills, but also have exposure to excellent role models in terms of faculty who are passionate about educating trainees.  I am excited for the year UVA has in store for me and look forward to becoming the best version of myself.
