I am originally from Buffalo, NY. I received my B.S. in Biochemistry from the U of R where I also played softball. I then matriculated into UVA’s Biomedical Sciences program, where I earned by Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology studying the immunological effects of using ablative focused ultrasound as a therapy for solid malignancies. I have been a part of UVA’s Pathology Department for over 5 years between my time in pre-clinical research and now as the Clinical Chemistry Fellow. I could not recommend UVA enough. Everyone I have encountered is extremely knowledgeable, and very willing to help mentor and teach. I have personally grown a lot while at UVA. I first came here right out of undergrad, and during my time here, I met my wife, got an adorable little bichon named Flex, and started a family. I am a huge sports fan. I definitely acquired that growing up in Buffalo – Go Bills! I love going to the UVA football, basketball & softball games. I also love exploring Charlottesville’s wine and beer scene. With the Blue Ridge Mountains, many local wineries and breweries have stunning views.
