Hobbies/Outside Interests: I’m a big Minnesota Vikings fan. I enjoy fishing, playing music, playing golf and spending time with friends and family.
Favorite things to do in Charlottesville: It’s great having access to Shenandoah National Park close by for day hikes. I’m excited to continue going out to see live music in Charlottesville. I’m looking forward to getting to know my co-residents by hanging out and exploring the town.
Why did you choose UVA? As a medical student at UVA, I could tell that the residents here are very close and supportive of one another. The camaraderie in the ready room convinced me that this was a community I wanted to be a part of. There are so many great mentors here who are willing to teach and offer guidance for learners at all stages.
Anesthesiology Interests: My clinical interests include perioperative care of critically ill patients, personalized medicine in critical care, mechanical ventilation, mechanical circulatory support, and point-of-care ultrasound.
As a medical student, I enjoyed my rotations in the SICU and the TCV-ICU. I also enjoyed the TEE rotation and look forward to returning as a resident.
