Central African Republic
Dr. Durieux has done two missions in Central African Republic (CAR) with Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
During the first mission, he worked for 6 weeks in the capital Bangui, at the General Hospital, which functioned as a trauma hospital. The second mission, of 4 weeks duration, was in Bossangoa, a smaller rural town in the northern part of the country.
Both settings were considered significant security risks, with personnel largely confined to the hospital (in Bangui) or to a guarded compound (Bossangoa). More details on the MSF missions in CAR can be found here.
This opportunity is not open to residents.
