Research

Both laboratory and clinical research is available but not mandatory. Many residents are involved in research leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national meetings. Elective time for research is available upon request and a research track is an option to some residents during the CA3 year. Our residents have been featured on national news and on NPR; some have covers on Anesthesiology and Anesthesia & Analgesia. We have 4 NIH-funded laboratories and a host of clinical studies to provide excellent experience in research.
