Why did you choose UVA? As a medical student at UVA, I really enjoyed my anesthesiology rotations. While interviewing, I realized that not having fellows in the operating rooms was hugely beneficial to the UVA residents and allows us to do cases that may be fellow-level at other programs. Additionally, I have loved living in Charlottesville–it has the benefits of being a smaller town with some of the amenities of a larger city (good restaurants, events).
