Favorite things about/to do/to eat in Charlottesville: There are plenty of outdoor things to do in and around Charlottesville. There’s hiking in Shenandoah and the surrounding trails, there are plenty of golf courses, as well as tons of wineries and breweries. The Downtown Mall and Belmont have great restaurants and bars, too.
Why did you choose UVA? The people and the clinical exposure. This is where I felt I would be the most comfortable for four years. This is a work hard, play hard group. The clinical experience is incredibly strong, with no in OR fellows. This allows the residents the ability to care for highly complex patients from neonates to adults.
