Hobbies/Outside Interests: I enjoy athletics of all kinds and keep myself active with running, volleyball, basketball, weightlifting and golf when the weather allows it. I also love to cook and bake and spend a lot of time in the kitchen trying out new recipes. Outside of the gym and kitchen, I like attending trivia nights, exploring local craft breweries, and I recently started indoor rock climbing, which has been a lot of fun!

Things you look forward to doing in Charlottesville: I am excited to explore the region as it will be my first time living long-term outside of New York. The local hiking/running trails, restaurant scene and activities will definitely keep me busy!

Why did you choose UVA? I chose UVA for several reasons. The program is exactly the size I was looking for and offers the unique opportunity to get involved with anesthesiology in your intern year, which brought it near the top of my list early on in my search. The residents and program leadership that I met during the open house and the interview day confirmed what I was already suspecting; UVA is the place for me! Everyone I met seemed very genuine and spoke highly of all that UVA and Charlottesville have to offer, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this community going forward!

Anesthesiology Interests: At this point, I am not sure if I will choose general or subspecialty anesthesiology, but I do know that I want to be involved with teaching and education throughout my career!

Favorite Rotation: In medical school? – Hands down, my general anesthesiology rotation was my favorite. In residency? – I’m not sure! I’m looking forward to exploring the breadth and depth of specialties anesthesiology provides.
