Global Health Initiatives

The Department of Anesthesiology has an active global health program, delivering care and education to a variety of resource-limited settings. It is run by a dedicated and experienced group of faculty, and the program allows resident participation in many of the ongoing projects at various levels of involvement.

Projects open to residents:

If you are interested in participating in our global health efforts as a resident or student, contact Marcel Durieux, Professor of Anesthesiology, or Callie Keller, Residency Coordinator.

Universal access to safe, affordable surgical and anesthesia care when needed saves lives, prevents disability, and promotes economic growth.
