Hobbies/Outside Interests: I enjoy running, hiking/anything outdoors, spending time with my dog, and watching sports-especially the NFL.

Things you look forward to doing in Charlottesville: Since this is my first time living outside of Florida, I am excited to go hiking and live in an area that has mountains! And of course, I am looking forward to experiencing the four seasons.

Why did you choose UVA? On interview day, it became evident that the faculty truly care for the residents and place resident education as a top priority with allocation of cases/procedures, no fellows in the OR, and accessibility to departmental leadership. It was clear that this was a collegial, family-like environment — something that felt truly unique to UVA!

Anesthesiology Interests: To be determined! So far, I am interested in gaining more experience in each subspecialty and deciding if I want to pursue a fellowship.

Favorite Rotation: I haven’t begun my on-service rotations yet, but I am really looking forward to the five months of anesthesia in the intern year!
