Hobbies/Outside Interests: I love playing ultimate frisbee and hiking. I also enjoy putting together jigsaw puzzles and making origami.

Things you look forward to doing in Charlottesville: I look forward to hiking in the beautiful mountains around Charlottesville, and also playing ultimate frisbee.  I’d like to try out boba tea places and restaurants, and meet new people!

Why did you choose UVA? The people during the interview were so nice and truly wanted to get to know me as a person, which I really appreciated! The interview didn’t feel like a quiz of “are you good enough for us.” but instead it felt like they genuinely cared. I appreciate that because there are no fellows, residents have the opportunity to do more complex cases. I also love that residents get to start learning anesthesia during the intern year!

Anesthesiology Interests: I am interested in trying different subspecialties, in particular cardiac anesthesiology.

Favorite Rotation: I haven’t had any rotations as a resident yet- TBD 🙂 … But in medical school, my favorite rotations were anesthesiology and NICU.
