Hobbies/Outside Interests: I enjoy fishing, biking, camping, cooking/grilling, watching movies and sports, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Things you look forward to doing in Charlottesville: Exploring more restaurants and wineries with my fiancé and friends! I also hope to take advantage of the great bike routes and fishing spots in our area during residency.
Why did you choose UVA? I think UVA strikes a great balance between strong teaching, a wide range of learning opportunities, and a friendly, supportive environment—especially in the Anesthesiology department. As a medical student here, I had incredible mentorship and support from the Anesthesiology department, and it was obvious how much the residents enjoyed being part of the program. Staying close to family means a lot to me, and I also really value being able to support my fiancé in her career as an occupational therapist at a UVA-affiliated rehab hospital.
Anesthesiology Interests: My current anesthesiology interests include pediatric anesthesiology and teaching; however I am open to exploring all subspecialties and career paths during residency!
Favorite Rotation: In medical school, my favorite rotations were anesthesiology and ICU (TCV, NICU) rotations!
