Hello everyone, I’m Folashade Adekunle. Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, I earned my M.D. from Kursk State Medical University in Russia and currently hold a Virginia State Board of Medicine License. I’m fluent in English and Yoruba, and conversational in Russian.

My time at UVA has been deeply rewarding, as I’ve balanced the demands of residency with the joys of motherhood. I’m excited to continue my training through a fellowship at UVA, a place that has greatly shaped both my career and my life.

As I move forward, I’m committed to making a meaningful impact in the medical field while staying closely connected to my loved ones. My journey has been one of perseverance, dedication, and unwavering commitment to both my career and family, and UVA has been there to support me every step of the way.
