I was born and raised in Maryland before heading up to Harvard for undergrad, where I studied Molecular and Cellular Biology. I went to medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston but after four years in the heat, wanted to move back to the east coast. I was attracted to UVA because I was already familiar with Charlottesville and knew how much it has to offer—wineries, outdoorsy activities, and the energy of a university town. I was also impressed with the program’s well-roundedness and its emphasis on medical education. I am undecided on a future specialty, but I’m excited to explore everything residency has to offer!
