Christine Tran, MD
Research Resident
Medical School: University of Virginia
I am from Richmond, Virginia, and moved an hour west to Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia for undergrad, where I majored in Neuroscience, and have been very fortunate to stay for medical school and residency (Triple Hoo!). Our program is one of a kind because of its incredible residents and faculty, strong sense of camaraderie and collegiality, and unwavering support, which are a few of the many reasons in regards to why I have stayed at UVA. I am currently conducting research in surgical oncology, but I remain undecided as to what subspecialty I hope to pursue. Outside of the hospital, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, eating at restaurants, going to wineries and breweries, cooking and baking, traveling internationally, knitting, collecting fun socks, watching movies and television, and visiting Walt Disney World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
