Sean Noona, MD
Research Resident
Medical School: University of Virginia
I am humbled, honored, and excited to be a part of the UVA General Surgery family. At its core, the program’s excellent training, collegial and collaborative culture, along with its world-class mentors, provides surgical residents with unlimited opportunity as well as a supportive environment in which to excel. Born and raised along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, I attended the University of Virginia for both Undergraduate and Medical School. I am incredibly fortunate to follow in the footsteps of several of my mentors by training at UVA and look forward to upholding the tradition of excellence for which UVA Surgery stands.
Outside the hospital, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family, cycling the scenic back roads of Charlottesville, Virginia, and cheering on the ‘Hoos. I am interested in pursuing Cardiothoracic Surgery.
