Emergency Ultrasound
This one-year fellowship is a non-tenure appointment at the rank of Instructor. The fellowship is designed for individuals who are interested in acquiring advanced skills in ultrasonography. Fellows will work approximately 16 clinical hours per week as an attending physician in concert with fellowhip training in the emergency department. Dedicated scanning shifts, review of archived sonographic images, literature review, and scholarly research will be under the supervision of the Director of Emergency Ultrasound. Numerous opportunities are available for advancing teaching skills in ultrasonography. Fellows will be eligible for the Focused Practice Designation in Advanced Emergency Ultrasonography upon graduation. In addition, fellows will be eligible for RDMS certification.
The successful applicant will have completed an emergency medicine residency and will be ABEM board-certified/eligible.
