Vocera – paging

An increasing number of clinical departments at UVA use Vocera for paging team members on clinical rotations during the post-clerkship phases (typically the Advanced Clinical Electives). Unless directed otherwise, we recommend that you wait until the post-clerkship phase to request and install Vocera on your mobile device.

  • Students can request a license form the “AMP” system here – (health system credentials when prompted for login)
  • Request “Vocera” from drop-down
  • Role = “Vocera User with Paging (PIC)”

The “AMP” system will typically route requests for access to the supervisor indicated on the form for approval.

To use Vocera on your mobile device, you must have the MobileIron Device Manager (now called Ivanti) installed. You can install MobileIron/Ivanti while your request for Vocera is being processed. Instructions here –
