Elizabeth Carstensen, MD

Hi! My name is Lizzy Carstensen. I’m originally from Birmingham Alabama and went to undergrad at Davidson college in NC. I loved North Carolina so I decided to stick around and go to Wake Forest for medical school, where I met my husband. Inside of medicine, I’m interested in geriatrics and preventative medicine. Outside of work, I like to spend time with my husband, Evan (an orthopaedic resident at UVA) and our dog, Cooper. I recently finished my first sprint triathlon at the beginning of May and would love to train for another one soon! I also enjoy spending time at the lake or beach with friends and family.
