Family Medicine Residency Advising

About

Our faculty enjoy and are committed to providing students with guidance on how to be competitive in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP). We encourage you to review the information in the links below to get an overview of how to prepare for this process. You will find answers to many of the common questions related to the Match.

Once you have chosen the specialty of Family Medicine it is important to contact one of our official faculty residency advisors to discuss the creation of your 4th year schedule to determine what electives you will need in the time period leading up to ERAS opening in mid-September. Electives spots in family medicine are limited and priority is given to students entering the specialty. If you are undecided, but still seriously considering the specialty, please contact the Pre-Doctoral Director, Dr. Sean Reed.

Our Residency Advisors meet with students twice during the time period leading up to the match to address individual questions and concerns. We are happy to answer questions and provide assistance by email as well.
