Class of 2028

Giorgia Borgarelli, MD

Hello everyone, my name is Giorgia! I’m originally from Italy but have called Blacksburg, VA home for the past 15 years.

I studied Psychology and Hispanic Studies at the College of William & Mary and went on to med school here at UVA. I liked it so much I decided to become a double hoo for residency!

When I grow up I want to be a rural family doc, hopefully serving Appalachian communities.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy ClassPass fitness classes, cooking, reading, and strolling around town with my husband and our elderly hounds, Belle and Luna.

Aman Kapadia, MD

Hello everyone! My name is Aman (he/him/his).

I was born and raised in Richmond, VA and have spent my entire life bouncing between Richmond and the DMV!

I attended the University of Virginia for undergrad, then spent two years obtaining my MPH at George Washington University, and later ended up at Georgetown University for med school.

My interests in medicine include sports medicine, underserved care, and correctional health care.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy working out, playing basketball, boxing, watching any and all sports (go Lakers!), managing my fantasy football teams, and trying new local food spots.

Julianna Kinsolving, MD

Hey friends! I’m Julianna (she/her/ella), and I was born and raised in Manassas, Virginia.

I received my bachelor’s degree in public health and a minor in dance from George Mason University. I then went on to pursue my master’s degree in science from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, after which I matriculated into their medical school.

I am Panamanian-American, so I am a proud Latina en medicina!

My interests within family medicine include global health, refugee/immigrant health, community health, and rural medicine.

In my free time, I love to dance, kickbox, hike, knit, cook soups, read, and sing karaoke terribly!

Kate McIntyre, MD

Hi there! I’m Kate (she/her), originally from Atlanta, GA. I went to the University of Georgia for undergrad and then stayed close to home for medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. Now I’m so excited to be starting residency at UVA and getting to learn and train in beautiful Virginia!

My interests within Family Medicine are rooted in a love for primary care and include preventative medicine, community outreach, and exploring palliative care and geriatrics.

Outside of medicine, I love reading (especially fantasy, sci-fi, and mystery), listening to audiobooks and podcasts, cooking, watching documentaries, and hanging out with my cat, Mochi. I’m also on a mission to try every restaurant I can in Charlottesville.

Cornelius Normeshie, MBChB

Hi there! I’m Cornelius (He/Him/His) , and I’m thrilled to be part of the UVA Family Medicine family. I grew up in Ghana, where I trained and practiced as a physician, and discovered a deep passion for community-centered care, health equity, and working alongside patients to achieve their health goals.

Before residency, I worked on global health initiatives providing care to underserved communities, leading medical outreach programs, and mentoring students interested in health disparities. I’m excited to bring that same energy to Charlottesville, building relationships with patients across generations while growing my skills in primary care. My personal interest within Family Medicine are centered on global public health, Obesity medicine, and working with underserved communities.

Outside the clinic, you’ll likely find me enjoying a good book, watching soccer, or cooking my favorite foods. I love spending time with my lovely wife, Ekua, and three beautiful children.

I look forward to serving our community and learning from each patient I meet at UVA!

Keitha (Jade) Robinson, MD

K. Jade Robinson, MD
Pronouns: She/Her
Hometown: Sandys, Bermuda

Hey, I’m Jade and I was born and raised in the Bermuda Triangle—quite literally! Growing up on a small island sparked my curiosity about the world, motivating me to travel, learn, and immerse myself in diverse cultures. My journey has taken me across the globe, and I’m thrilled to now call Charlottesville my home!

I completed my undergraduate studies at Nova Southeastern University in Florida before crossing the Atlantic to pursue a Master’s in Public Health at King’s College London. It was during this time that my passion for public health and global health truly took root, and I have since dedicated my life to community service. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to various public health initiatives focused on underserved populations at a global scale. I attended the American University of the Caribbean for medical school, where I gained clinical experience in both the U.K. and the U.S. This international exposure has provided me with a well-rounded perspective on healthcare systems and delivery. My professional interests within Family Medicine are centered on preventive medicine, behavioral medicine, public health, and global health.

Beyond medicine, I have a passion for music, various cuisines, art museums, and fashion!

Jennifer Russell, MD

I graduated in 2020 then moved to Ann Arbor to attend the University of Michigan Medical School. GO BLUE!

My areas of interest in medicine are broad and include medical education, community engagement and outreach, gender-affirming care, mental health, and addiction medicine. Like a true family doctor, I love everything from newborn care to geriatric medicine with a focus on preventative care.

I am an avid Detroit pro sports fan (Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings as pictured) as well as trail runner. I picked up bowling while living in the Midwest and am thrilled to be bringing my love for limitless bowling nights to Charlottesville.
