Dr. Tracy Borsinger is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Virginia, who joined the faculty in fall of 2023. She completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. She began undergraduate education at Middlebury College in Vermont where she studied biochemistry and graduated magna cum laude. During her time there she played basketball and was named an Academic All-American. After graduating, she continued her medical education at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, where she also graduated magna cum laude. She then completed her Orthopaedic Surgery residency training at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire.

Tracy is extremely excited to join the Orthopaedic faculty at the University of Virginia. She looks forward to being able to provide high quality care to patients presenting for primary, complex primary, or revision hip or knee replacement surgery. Furthermore, she is excited to work with trainees and pursue research interests in outcomes after total hip and knee arthroplasty, periprosthetic joint infection, and technology in total hip and knee arthroplasty.

Beyond Orthopaedics

Dr. Borsinger enjoys spending time with her husband and taking advantage of all of the outdoor activities in Charlottesville and the surrounding areas.
