Our residency program participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). ERAS will open for applicants to apply to programs in September 2022.

In the meantime, there are many ways for you to participate in some of our activities remotely. We’d love for you to join us for our Radiation Oncology Open Houses. Please see Ways to Participate for more information. You can find lots of useful information for applicants on the GME webpage.

The 2023 interview season will begin in September of 2022 when applicants can apply through ERAS and we will receive the applications. Our Program Director will review all applications and select candidates to interview. We will be interviewing for one position in the 2023 interview season. Invitations usually go out by the end of October.

This year we will have four virtual interview dates:

  • November 4, 2022
  • November 11, 2022
  • December 2, 2022
  • December 9, 2022

Once we have completed the interviews, we submit a Rank Order List to the NRMP. In mid-March we learn who we match with! The people we match with in March of 2023 will start in July of 2024.

The University of Virginia is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. Women, minorities, veterans and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply. We sponsor the ECFMG J1 visa.
