Physics

David Schlesinger, Ph.D.

Our Physics course is taught by David Schlesinger, Ph.D. Physics is held twice a week from October – May every year.

Dr. Schlesinger is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery since 2004 and formally joined the Clinical Physics Faculty in the Department of Radiation Oncology in 2009.

 

Radiobiology

Tarek Abbas, Ph.D.

Tarek Abbas, Ph.D. teaches our Radiobiology course, held in the spring of each year. The Radbio course was recently updated to better align with content tested on the ABR board examination in response to input from our residents. Our complete Radbio course is 18 lectures.

Dr. Abbas is an assistant professor of the Department of Radiation Oncology and Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics.

 

Statistics

Statistics is taught by faculty in the Department of Public Health Sciences, Division of Translational Research and Applied Statistics.  Recently, Nolan Wages, Ph.D. in 2018 and Beth Horton, Ph.D. in 2020 and 2022.  We have 6 lectures taught in the spring of even-numbered years.
