Data Safety & Monitoring Committee (DSMC)
The Data and Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC) reviews all UVA CC trials that are not monitored by an external board, organization or agency.
DSMC is responsible for:
- Reviewing data; including recruitment, compliance and subject safety
- Identifying safety related problems or issues as they arise
- Provide principal investigator with appropriate documentation regarding issues or status of study
