Quality Assurance & Education

The Office of Clinical Research provides a robust Quality Assurance and Education program. We support all UVA oncology trials and research groups with:

• Development and implementation of a Quality Assurance Program for clinical research
• DSMC mandated audit reviews of cancer clinical trials. Standard Operating Procedures for DSMC audits can be found online here.
• Ongoing internal monitoring of all cancer clinical trials
• Coordination of activities for the National Cancer Institute (NCI) National Clinical Trials Network
• Development and implementation of educational sessions for clinical research staff
• Research process information sessions for providers. Please see the OCR manual for providers, available online here.
