MS Clinic Partners:

Washington Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman is the president of the ziMS Foundation.  Ryan founded the ziMS Foundation in honor of his mother, Cheryl, who suffers from multiple sclerosis.  The foundation holds numerous fundraisers throughout the year including the Annual MS Gala in Virginia Beach and the Field of Dreams Gala in Charlottesville, VA to raise funds for its beneficiaries.

Bike the US for MS organizes cross country bike trips that raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis research. These tours follow America’s most traveled cross country cycling routes and combine an important cause with an incredible experience.  Proceeds from 2011 will support research & treatment at the James Q Miller MS Clinic at the University of Virginia, in addition to funding home modification projects across the United States.

The Blue Ridge Chapter of the National MS Society is an important part of a nationwide network that advances the Society’s mission to achieve a world free of multiple sclerosis.  The James Q. Miller MS Clinic enjoys a close relationship with the Blue Ridge Chapter and our patients greatly benefit from their weekly presence in our multi-disciplinary clinic.  Additionally our previous fellow, Dr. John Scagnelli, has received a clinical care fellowship grant from the National MS Society.
