- The objective of our NICU program is to provide residents from external institutions with comprehensive exposure to the University of Virginia’s NICU. Our program is designed with a dual focus: delivering robust clinical education and teaching, while also offering mentorship and career development opportunities.

- $2,000 stipend for travel and living expenses
- Four-week customized rotation in the Level 4 UVA NICU
- Rotations offered February through November with the exact timing tailored to the individual’s needs

- Applications will be considered based on merit and availability
- Applicants must be in good standing at an ACGME accredited residency program and plan to complete neonatology fellowship training
- Applicants should apply in their second year or later during the winter preceding their application to fellowship
- All applications must be received at least 60 days prior to the desired rotation start date due to licensing restrictions
- Applicants must complete background check and employee health requirement forms
