Hi I’m Sam! I’m originally from New Jersey and went to Duke for undergrad, then came to UVA for medical school.  While it was hard to root for UVA during basketball season, I loved UVA and Charlottesville and was excited to stay for radiology residency.  The faculty are great educators and are always approachable whenever you have a question. There is also a supportive environment between residents, which makes working together enjoyable. I have loved training at UVA so far, and the ideal location in Charlottesville makes it easy to prioritize work-life balance.  I am constantly exploring the area with my partner – between trying new restaurants, enjoying the vineyards, and hiking with our bernedoodle, there’s always something fun to do with our time off!
