Hey, my name is Tyler. I grew up in Arizona, moved to Utah for undergrad (BYU), and then on to Wisconsin for med school (Medical College of Wisconsin). After a brief detour to California for internship, we finally made it to Charlottesville. I chose UVA because it offered the benefits of a top tier academic training program with the community, livability, and affordability of a small town for my growing family.

I enjoy reading, cooking, grilling, baking, and fixing up the home we bought just north of town. Someday when I have the money, I’d like to get into restoring old cars and motorcycles. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my family. In the summers, we love to spend all of our free time at the community pool. During the fall and spring we love to get out and hike in the mountains around town. Our goal is to take more day trips to all of the exciting places around Charlottesville and Virginia.
