 | In 2021, J. Stephen Huff, MD, retired from the Department of Emergency Medicine after 26 years of service. Dr. Huff also held a secondary appointment with the Department of Neurology while at UVA. |
 | In 2019, Marcus Martin, MD, retired from the Office for Diversity and Equity. He served as the first Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine for 10 years and the endowed position is now named in his honor: Marcus L. Martin Distinguished Chair of Emergency Medicine.
