Hi everyone! I grew up just outside of Pittsburgh in a small town called Ligonier. I went to college just in the next town over and decided to leave PA behind for medical school. Almost as soon as I started medical school at UVA, I fell in love with pathology. Our amazing faculty here supported me through my medical school journey and residency apps, so naturally I just had to stay here for residency! I love the familial atmosphere we foster here at UVA and the wide breadth of cases we see during our general sign out. I will be leaving UVA in June to head back to PA for my Pediatric Pathology Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In my free time I can be found baking, watching anime, coaching at a local pilates studio, and playing various Switch games with friends. My interests in path include medical education, placental pathology, and perinatal/fetal autopsy.
