Surgical Pathology Fellowship
Program Overview
The Surgical Pathology fellowship is a one year post-residency fellowship aimed at gaining additional expertise in general surgical pathology. This experience will provide in-depth exposure to consultation material in addition to in-house cases. The fellowship can be tailored to the fellow’s particular interests. The fellow will gain a deeper understanding of validating and verifying new tests and equipment and will participate in QA/QC monthly meetings and quarterly QA presentations. In addition, the fellow will actively participate in clinical conferences, teach residents and be expected to participate in ongoing translational research utilizing the outstanding faculty and resources of the University of Virginia.
Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree (or foreign equivalent with ECFMG certification) and be board eligible or certified in anatomic or anatomic and clinical pathology.
